We were in the car today and Daniel, my 6 year old, was poking Evelyn, my 4 1/2 year old. She was yelling “stop touching me” and he said “you’re Julianna” boy she got mad at that. Then there was the obligatory,
“no I’m not”
“yes, you are!”
“no I’m NOT!!”
“yes, you ARE!!”
“NO I’M NOT!!!”
…. you get the picture. Then Daniel said “You are Julianna because you don’t like to be touched JUST LIKE Julianna”. Everyone in our family knows NOT to touch Julianna. Her sense of touch is over-developed to say the least, and she jumps when you touch her. She loves tight squeezes, but the light touch of someone bumping her on accident can send her into a meltdown. Ahh, the joys of atypical autism.
Kids, you can’t live with ‘em, you can’t duct tape ’em to the roof of the car.
